This powder horn has an attractive curve and would make a nice addition to a hunting pouch. The horn has a dark tip with a warm brown patina on the body. The horn is shaped with a paneled raised tip to secure a strap. The neck has a engrailed border at the transition to the body. The base of the horn has a applied horn band. The horn measures 14" around the outside curve from the tip to the end of the beehive shaped base. The turned mushroom knob adds about 3/4" to the overall length. Small iron nails secure the base to the horn. A hand carved wooden stopper is fitted. Add a leather or woven strap and this horn is ready to go!
