This powder horn has a Tansel style neck with engrailed border. This horn has a cream colored body and a dark tip. The octagon tip has a raised head, to secure a strap, and smooth transition to an engrailed border to the horn body. The horn measures 15-3/4" around the outside curve from the tip to the end of the turned base, the acorn finial adds about 3/4" to the overall length. Small iron nails secure the base to the horn. A carved wooden stopper is fitted. Add a leather or woven strap and this horn is ready to go!
