The late style curved front trigger distinguishes this trigger from the nearly identical early straight front trigger. Made by L&R Lock Co., each trigger bears their touchmark. Double lever style, it has enough backlash to allow the lock to be cocked and fired, with the trigger set or unset.
Spare parts may be used in identical triggers from the old Sharon Rifle Barrel Company Hawken rifle kits, once sold under the "Old West Arms" brand name.
